Rock Hopping Course
Posted by Greg on January 13, 2012
The rock hopping course typically runs on a calm day when nothing else at sea is happening. Tides are neaps and no surf is to be found. Could use these locations on off shore windy days to hide in the lee.
Now you have a great opportunity to train up close to the nooks and crannies of your dynamic shore line. A chance to take the boat handling skills previously learned in the BCU 2 and 3 Star training courses to a new level of confidence.
Location: RI North Shore
Cost: $130.00/pp

Greg Paquin is an excellent instructor. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in becoming a better paddler. We covered a wide range of strokes for paddling forward, reverse and sideways (really). Greg emphasized effective use of edging and learning to "own" your strokes. Rescues, rolls and canoe skills rounded out a very full day. It was easy to see real improvement in everyone there. At the end of the day Greg said "so, do you want to do assessment?" Far from being intimidated, we were all pretty confident at that point. "Sure" was an easy answer. Thanks Greg! - Tim
